The Wealth Structure Review, with Josh Hay
Having £100k invested isn't the same as having it structured.
Pensions from old employers. An ISA or two. A bit of cash. If nobody has looked at all of it at once, this is worth ninety seconds.
Two conversations. Not a sales pitch.
Which of these sounds most like you?
Before you go any further.
- It's two conversations, about three weeks apart.
- I'll ask to see your actual pension and investment statements. Not estimates. we need to obtain this information to ensure we are giving you the best possible advice
- If your money's already structured well, I'll tell you, and we'll stop there.
- If it isn't, I'll show you exactly what I'd change and why.
- The review itself is free. If you decide to go ahead with anything I recommend afterwards, there are fees, and I'll talk you through them clearly before you commit to anything.
The people who get anything out of this are the ones who are genuinely open to working with someone on it. If what you want is a quick generic summary to file away, that's fair enough, but it isn't what this is. No hard feelings either way.
What have you got?
Select everything that applies.
Roughly how much is that worth, all in?
When did someone last look at all of it together, not just one bit of it?
Who you'd actually be talking to
No jargon. Honest answers.
Josh Hay, Plymouth and Totnes
My background is in commercial strategy. I spent years working with businesses, helping owners think clearly about where they were, where they wanted to get to, and what was actually in the way.
I'm an entrepreneur at heart. I've built things, taken risks, and learned what it looks like when strategy and reality don't quite match. That shapes how I think about all of this.
When I moved into financial advice, I brought that instinct with me. A lot of financial advice is process-led: fill in the questionnaire, get the report, sign the forms. I'm more interested in the conversation underneath it. What are you actually trying to do. What's working. What's quietly not working. What a genuinely useful picture of your money would even look like.
That's the thing I'm trying to build, really. Advice that behaves less like an annual administrative event and more like having someone in your corner who knows your situation and gets in touch when something changes. Not because a diary reminder went off.
The people I do this for have usually got somewhere north of £100,000 across a few different places. A pension or two from old employers. A current one. ISAs going back years. Some investments picked at the time for reasons that made sense then. Cash that was meant to be temporary. Every piece defensible on its own. Nobody has ever looked at the whole thing at once.
That's exactly what this review is. It starts with a thirty-minute conversation. If it's worth taking further, the next step is looking at everything properly: your pensions in detail, how they're actually invested, and how the pieces fit together.
What you can expect from me is directness. I'll tell you what I see, including the parts that might be uncomfortable. If your setup is fine, I'll say so. If there's something worth fixing, I'll explain it in plain terms and we'll look at what to do about it. I'm not trying to generate paperwork. I'm trying to give you something you can actually use and that makes a difference.
What I'm aiming to do is help you see whether there's more to be had from what you've already built, and be intentional about it. What you've got, what it's actually for, how it fits your plans, and how tax-efficiently it's arranged. Not guesswork or assumption. A proper look.
If that sounds like what you've been after, carrying on is the place to start. If it isn't, no harm done.

Do you have an adviser at the moment?
If we get to the point where it's worth looking properly, that means going through the detail together — the pensions, the investments, the tax position.
Is that something you'd be up for?
One last thing before you pick a time
I keep a limited number of these conversations in the diary each week, and they tend to go to people who've been meaning to sort this out for a while.
So a small ask. If this is more of a passing thought than something you actually want to look at, don't book. No judgement at all, but a slot that goes unused is one someone else needed.
If you do book, I'll be there. I'd just ask the same in return.
Happy on that basis?
Last bit, then pick a time.
So I know who I'm talking to and can reach you if the calendar plays up.
Pick a time that suits.
Thirty minutes. In person around Plymouth and Totnes, or over video wherever you are.
Once you have chosen a time, you will get a confirmation by email. If the calendar does not load, open it in a new tab.
Booked
Booked. Here's what happens next.
We'll talk for about thirty minutes. I'll ask what you've got, what you're aiming at, and what's been bothering you about it.
If there's something worth doing, I'll ask you to send me your statements so I can look properly.
Then we'll have a second, longer conversation where I walk you through what I'd change and why.
If it turns out your setup is already sound, I'll say so. That happens, and it's a perfectly good outcome.
The review is free. If you go ahead with anything afterwards, there are fees, and I'll set them out clearly before you commit to anything.
Check your email, the details are on their way.
Fair enough.
Better to say that than book something you're not ready for. I'd rather you came back when the timing's right than turned up out of obligation.
In the meantime, I'll send you something worth reading.
A short, occasional note on keeping money organised. Plain English, no pitch, and you can leave whenever you like.
If it becomes something you want to look at properly, you know where I am.
If it becomes something you want to look at properly, you know where I am.
You're on the list
Done. It'll land now and then.
No schedule, no filler. When there's something genuinely worth knowing about keeping money organised, I'll send it. If it stops being useful, one click removes you.
